Baseball and softball apparel for the dugout, the cage and the bleachers

Diamond sports run long in Central Ohio — high-school seasons open in March while it's still cold, travel ball fills the summer, and fall ball keeps the cage busy into October. Strive-To-Be outfits school programs, travel organizations and rec leagues with practice tees, dugout layers, caps and fan gear, printed and embroidered in Delaware, Ohio.

What baseball and softball programs actually order

  • Practice tees — performance or cotton-poly tees, two or three per player, one-color chest print with numbers on the back. The cage shirt, the BP shirt, the shirt under the jersey.
  • Dugout hoodies and quarter-zips — March in Ohio is cold. Fleece hoodie for the dugout, quarter-zip for the coaches' box, both embroidered left chest.
  • Long-sleeve performance tops — worn under the jersey on cold nights; one-color print, team color.
  • Caps and visors — embroidered team caps for players and the parent version for the bleachers. The cap is the item everyone buys.
  • Coaches' polos and jackets — head coach, assistants, the bullpen coach and the scorekeeper on one artwork approval.
  • Fan and parent gear — "Baseball Mom," "Softball Dad," program hoodies and blankets for the bleachers through an online team store.
  • Travel and tournament packs — player packs, tournament-weekend tees and a parent hoodie for the summer circuit.

Game jerseys and pants are a specialty item. Ask when you request a quote and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit for your timeline.

A sample baseball or softball package

What a varsity and JV program typically orders before opening day. Every package is quoted for your roster and artwork — no public price list, and you'll always talk to a real person.

  • 2 × practice tees, one-color chest print, numbers on back
  • 1 × long-sleeve performance top, one-color print
  • 1 × fleece dugout hoodie, embroidered left chest, printed back
  • 1 × embroidered cap
  • Optional: quarter-zip for coaches; parent cap and hoodie added at checkout in the team store

Timeline: order by February 1 for spring

Spring (high school). Ohio high-school baseball and softball practices open in late February and games start in late March. To have dugout hoodies and practice tees for the first cold week, artwork and rough roster numbers need to be in by February 1 — a two-week team store in February, production and delivery before the first practice.

Summer (travel ball). Travel and tournament teams set rosters in the fall and start in May. Order player packs in March or April; tournament-weekend tees mid-summer move fast because the artwork already exists. Fall ball orders in August.

  • Six weeks out: send your logo, colors and approximate roster. Mockup and quote within a few business days.
  • Four weeks out: approve artwork. A team store opens and runs about two weeks — long enough for tryout results to settle.
  • Two weeks out: production, sorted by player, delivered or picked up in Delaware by arrangement.
  • Opening day: the dugout matches.

Team stores that raise money for the program

Players, parents and grandparents order online in their own sizes and pay at checkout; the booster club never fronts a dollar or collects a check. Run it as a straight store at your quoted pricing, or as a fundraiser: a set amount from every eligible item — $5 standard — goes back to the program when the store closes. Travel organizations use it the same way — one link to every family, sorted by player on delivery. Launch a baseball or softball team store →

Why Ohio diamond programs print with Strive-To-Be

  • Local. Delaware, Ohio — pickup available, problems fixed in person.
  • Built for a cold March. We'll steer you to fleece and performance layers that hold up to a wet dugout and a bus ride, and away from the ones that won't.
  • One contact. One email, one person, one answer — for the head coach, the travel director or the booster president.
  • Caps done right. Embroidered, in the program colors, sized for players and the parents who want to match.
