Bowling team apparel — small roster, big identity

High-school bowling is the sport that gets forgotten at gear time: ten or twelve athletes, a season that runs November through February, and a program that still wants to walk into the lanes looking like a team. Strive-To-Be outfits Ohio high-school and youth-league bowling teams with match-day shirts, warm layers and parent gear, printed and embroidered in Delaware, Ohio — and a small roster is exactly where an online team store makes the most sense.

What bowling programs actually order

  • Match-day polos or performance tees — the shirt you bowl in. Embroidered left chest or a printed team logo, school colors, sized for the whole roster including the alternates.
  • Warm layers for the lanes — quarter-zips, hoodies and crewnecks for the bench between frames and the bus home in January.
  • Practice tees — one or two per bowler, one-color print.
  • Coaches' polos and quarter-zips — matching the roster, on the same order.
  • Parent and fan gear — "Bowling Mom," "Bowling Dad," program hoodies and hats through an online team store. Bowling families sit twenty feet from the lane for three hours; they want to match.
  • Sectionals, districts and state — short-run full-color DTF for names and "state qualifier" tees when the season goes long.

A sample bowling package

What a high-school program typically orders before the first match. Every package is quoted for your roster and artwork — there's no public price list, and you'll always talk to a real person.

  • 1 × match-day polo or performance tee, embroidered or printed logo
  • 1 × practice tee, one-color print
  • 1 × quarter-zip or fleece hoodie, embroidered left chest
  • Optional: name and "Varsity" or "JV" on the sleeve

Winter timeline: order by mid-October

Ohio high-school bowling practices open around November 1 and the first matches follow in late November. To have match-day shirts and warm layers for the opener, get artwork and roster numbers to us by mid-October:

  • Now – mid-October: send your logo, colors and roster. With a small roster, sizes usually come back in a day.
  • Mid-October: approve artwork. A team store opens now for parent gear and runs about two weeks.
  • Late October – mid-November: production, sorted by bowler, delivered or picked up in Delaware by arrangement.
  • First match: the team matches.

Youth and adult leagues run on their own calendars — tell us your first league night and we'll be straight with you about what's realistic.

Why a small roster should still use a team store

Twelve bowlers have twelve families. A store means every parent, grandparent and sibling orders their own size and pays online, the coach never collects a check. Run it at your quoted pricing, or as a fundraiser where a set amount from every eligible item — $5 standard — goes back to the program when the store closes. For a program that rarely gets booster money, that's real. Launch a bowling team store →
